QUILT CLASSES
Radiant Star

Impressive is the perfect word to describe a well done "star" quilt.
They can be difficult or easy depending on the technique used and
the secrets developed by experienced "star" quilters. Sylvia uses the
techniques detailed in Eleanor Burns book and has organized the
necessary steps to make it easy for you to complete the quilt top.
In this class you will learn the secrets of working with bias edges
and accurate strip piecing.
Intermediate quilt piecing skills required.

Tumbling Blocks

The three dimensional look of this pattern is accomplished with color.
And, IT IS STRIP PIECED! Pam will guide you through the process of
choosing colors and fabrics, accurate cutting and seaming, pressing
effectively and preparing your blocks for assembly. At the end of these
four weeks you will have completed a quilt top that will amaze your family
and friends.

Wedding Ring Table Runner

The traditional look of this table runner is accomplished by using
"foundation papers" and your stash of fabric pieces (fat quarters will
work, too). You will be proud to use the completed runner on your Holiday
table, especially when you see the perfect bias binding on the curves!

Introduction to Quilt Piecing

Create a crib size (or lap top) quilt top while learning contemporary piecing
techniques. Color and fabric selection will be discussed along with correct
cutting, sewing and pressing. This is a great place for beginning quilters, or
for people unhappy with their current projects, to develop skills that equal
beautiful quilts.

GARMENT SEWING
An Apron to Sew With

This easy to sew apron is designed to hold your sewing tools while protecting
your clothing from markers, thread ends, etc. You may choose your own fabrics
and use either grosgrain ribbon as a tie or we will show you how to do a fabric tie.

That 70's Tote

This whimsical tote can be appliquéd to suit your personality. The pattern
gives you several options. In this class you will learn to appliqué on the
machine and techniques for creating a useful bag. Teresa is our "bag lady" and
will share what she has learned from experience.

Polar Fleece is a "green fabric" and makes warm, cozy garments. However,
there are some secrets for achieving success. This class will cover techniques
used to prevent many of the problems presented by the fabric and will include
finishing edges and inserting zippers.
